The problem

Book and article publication ran manually across disconnected systems, with no record afterwards of what happened when.

What I did

Senior developer then technical lead over three developers and one QA. Designed and built a BPMN workflow engine automating the book and article publication process, with asynchronous message driven integration across components. Audit trails at every step and manual handoffs taken out of the process.

What changed

An audit trail at every step of publication. The BPMN worker service is user customisable and gives the ability support many different workflows concurrently.
