The problem
A national digital wallet handling payments across billers, retail outlets and online platforms. Card data had to meet PCI-DSS standard at rest and in transit, with 3D Secure through the payment gateway.
What I did
Senior developer and technical lead. Built the Mastercard MPGS gateway integration with AES-256 encryption for card data at rest and in transit. Supported the PCI-DSS certification audit end to end. Led the Lanka QR payments integration for the PickMe taxi service from design through deployment.
What changed
Genie shipped as a PCI-DSS certified digital wallet and became one of the most used digital payment wallet in sri lanka with integrated to popular banks and merchants.
