I chose gRPC over REST for the capabilities where latency mattered and kept REST elsewhere. The reporting itself gives vendors their daily turnover and gross margin, top winning and losing bettors, top winning and losing events, and player profiles. Redis caches the hot report paths and Google OAuth2 handles login. Operational data sits in PostgreSQL and the reporting volume in BigQuery, both fed by Pub/Sub consumers.
